Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 9 or Reef Octopus 202-S
Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 9 or Reef Octopus 202-S
I've been out of the skimmer market a while. Medium stock tank, 200 gallon ( softies and fish). What do you think of the above 2? Any others with a similar footprint i missed? |

If noise is a major issue I would go with the RO 202, if you don't mind some hum then I would go with the Curve 9. I have used the Curve 9 and it is a beast of a skimmer.

I have the 202-s and it is CRAZY loud. The air draw is insanely loud. The skimmer is a beast, but the noise is a problem. I moved my sump to the basement, so no worries for me

You could try and put some Filter floss on the inside of the Baffle it should help with with the air draw noise.

pulled the trigger on the 202. Cant pass on the ebay deal, $299 less 8% for deal bucks and free ship so around 270 OTD.

I tried everything. The only thing that worked was moving the sump to the basement
