Show your hybrid lighting system!

Found MH and Leds to be the best for my taste. What hybrid lighting did you choose?

I currently have 2 T5s to go alongside my Vertex Illumina, but I don't know how to mount them at this time. Trying to avoid a canopy if I can.

I run 2 48W CREE LED pucks and 2 39W T5 36" bulbs. I find this to be the best combination for color with most of the benefits of LEDs.

Halides and LEDs here. Currently the LEDs are largely for viewing and ramps, but I am putting an LED box/ pendant in the middle of the halides this weekend to boost my upper-end PAR a bit for SPS and a clam. Currently my 75 goes from 200 on the floor to 320 at the surface, I want at least low to mid 400s 6" down. Even if it's a hot spot, I'd prefer to be able to have some fade toward the ends of the tank.

150w 14k bulb m81 ballast with 12 luxeon rb and 4 ultra violet leds all top bins available. I'm still working on the custom floating canopy design. It's just about completed. The color and light output is perfect.

DIY T5/LED using a Tek 6 bulb. Added fans, LED parts from Rapid LED, and made it "apex ready".

My set up:

Here is my 72"+24" Coralife Advanced fixtures retrofitted with aquastyle DIY LED's. Ditching the PC for the LED's was the best thing I ever did.

Here is mine. Started out with an ATI 8 bulb hybrid with a single led bank and added 2 of the XHO reefbrite strips to take it one step further.

I had been running LED and MH together, but just the former now. Ran double ended MH supplemented with VHO actinics starting in about 1988. After many years, replaced the VHO with a pair of reefbreeders photon units in 2013. In 2014 started the process of replacing MH with kessil spots. No more MH as of about 18 months ago. Tanks hasn't skipped a beat.

Those that are just running 2 t5ho bulbs which bulbs did you go with? I plan on retrofitting a 24" t5ho fixture with an led strip but not sure what bulbs to go with.

I use water cooled LEDs. Hybrid only in the sense that it uses water instead of air to cool itself. It also has a radiator and circulator pump. But all the lights on it are LEDs.

Something modular would make a lot is sense.
I think it's coming sooner than later. There is the real need for it.
Mine BTW is a 24" giesemann with 1 250 hqi and four t5s. There are also one Ai Sol on each end of this combo.

Wait... Are you not concerned with the copper leaching?

Don't get me wrong, I love the concept, but metals and salt water scare me.
