Tank restart following a crash. 180 gallon

So as some of you know on April 9th I experienced a tank crash where all coral, inverts, anemones, and fish had died. with the exception of my two eels who are still undergoing treatment in a hospital tank recovering.

Though there are many theories as to why my tank crashed with the most popular being the caulerpa I had growing in mass quantities within my sump all died and nuked the tank. There is no definitive explanation other than a toxin of some sort. I changed around 300 gallons within the first few weeks.

Last week a fellow reefer at my LFS overheard me talking to the owner about the tank crash and she decided to give me everything in one of her tanks to help me get back on my feet. She gave me a ton of coral and some fish. Another reefer gave me a few fish from his tank aswell. So in total the fish ive been given are a Red Sea Sailfin, Potter's Angel, 2 Chromis, Bicolor Fox Face, and a Canary Blenny. The coral is mainly mushrooms, zoas, palys, and candy cane coral. i had wanted this tank to be primarily mushrooms and zoas anyway because of the angels i plan to keep. so this tank is looking very lively and colorful again with the new additions. All of which are doing great.

One very cool thing to add is that the sailfin tang has demolished all the hair algae that has been running rampant in the tank. I have never heard of a tang feeding so heavily on hair algae. the foxface hasnt done much of anything in terms of eating hair algae.

So in light of all this bad luck i have had recently. There have been many people to help me along the way to get back onto my feet. Not only did people help me out with giving me livestock. A fellow reefer on this forum sent me medication to help with my eel's treatments. I am very thankful to be in a hobby where people help each other out the way we do.
