Jebao rw 8 or 10?

Hi guys,

Putting in a new purchase in the next week or so. Just wondering what you'd all recommend for my tank.

Tank dimensions are 4x2x2.5.

I currently have 2 Tunze powerheads but both AC controlled.

I've been doing a lot of research and I found everyone recommends a random flow, unfortunately the Tunze I have don't do it and my budget restricts me to the jebao options.

I'm sure someone else will have these I'm their tank, can someone recommend what size I go with for my size tank. Mostly lps and zoas at the moment. Will be doing sps in the next few weeks

I'd recommend that you reconsider. I've had 3 of the RWs die within a few months. One because the grill work on front of pump allowed snail to move in and jam the propeller; the others because . . . who knows, it just died. If you can find a WP40 or 60 on E-Bay, I think that would be the way to go. IME, the WPs are pretty rugged and best bang for buck.

I have been used from Jebao WP (old style) to RW (new style) and from small as RW-4, RW-8 , rw-15, rw-20 and NONE of them fail yet. They are quiet, cheap and lot of function as MP.
For Jebao, you need clean up every 3 months
For MP, you need clean up every 6 months
either type of pump will fail if you are not clean up.

Dual RW-8 is right pump for 4 feet tank with "else" mode.

Thanks for the input guys. I've found a supplier here in Australia and he reccomemds the rw as well and is happy to give me a 12 month warranty. I'll go with 2 of them and update on how they go.

I would love a couple of maxspect gyre models but my budget just doesn't allow.

Appreciate the feedback.
