Wondering if the AI Prime is right for my tank
My LFS let me borrow an open box Current USA Orbit Marine Pro light he had and told me to keep it for a day or two and see if I liked it. He said if I didn't like it he'd recommend an AI Prime for my tank.
Do you guys think the AI Prime would be suitable for a 29g 16" tall tank with a few softies and SPS? It says the spread is 18" which would leave approx 6" on either side of the tank unsuitable for corals. |

So is the width of the tank 30"? If that is the case than 1 Prime is not going to be very good. Will look very shadowy. Not sure what your budget is, but you will need more than just that.

Agree, I have two Primes over my 36 bow which is 30" wide and coverage is good. One wouldn't be enough though IMO. I actually returned the exact same light the OP is trying to out for the Primes.
