New reef options
I have been out of the hobby for about 3 years. I have experience with fish only saltwater, but have never maintained a reef. I want to get back into the hobby and I have been looking at the NUVO 20 kit for $600. It comes with tank,lighting,20lb sand, some rock, heater and powerhead.. I may have missed something but those are the main items.. does anyone know of any better options in terms of quality and or price? It looks like I will need to buy the ghost protein skimmer as well, and would like to know if there are alternatives for that as well. I look forward to reading any suggestions as well as checking out everyone else's setups!.. thank you.

Congrats. Those innovative marine tanks are nice looking. I really like the new NUVO concept ones that have a tiered drop off. It sounds like you have most of what you need after getting the skimmer.

I love the look of the multi tiered tanked as well. I was thinking harder corals may be able to be kept on the higher tier wither soft corals in the lower.
