skimmer

can I leave my protein skimmer bubble over while emptying cup?, its a pain to back off while emptying then redial it in.

Controllers are anywhere between $200-$1000+ depending on how elaborate you get. Or you can just pop off the cup when you clean it and let it overflow. I'm pretty sure that's what everyone does. I deliberately let it keep flowing so I can give the inside of the body a quick scrub with a toothbrush.

My skimmer is plugged into a switched outlet. Quick flip of the switch turns it off, when clean just flip it back on and it very seldom needs adjusting, if so it is typically minor.
