Vertex rx6 vs geo calcium reactors?
I have a 180 gallon sps lightly stocked aquarium with another 50 gallons of sump water. I will eventually be stocked with a medium loaded sps only. I am under the assumption after looking at sizes that they are usually cut in half if it will be a sps only tank. The vertex says it's good for 250 gallons but since I will be a medium load sps, will this reactor be enough or will I need to go with a GEO 618 or 624? I really like the vertex but don't know if it will be big enough and I know there are a lot of GEO fans out there.

I have a geo 612 I'm selling lol. Geo is American, which is always great.
I have a Lifereef which I love. I don't think you can go wrong with made in USA. MAke sure to get a carbon doser regulator. Makes it all simple. Also going to recommend TLF reborn media. I have a 220 all sps Angel reef. My reactor is overkill right now. Within a year I hope it keeps up!!

I love my Vertex RX-6 and it seems like it would be plenty big enough. It was easy to set up and is built like a tank.

Between the two I'd go with the geo. the vertex looks pretty but costs about 40% more for the same capacity. I would get the Geo and spend that extra money on a nice dual stage regulator or masterflex pump
