kessil a150 deep ocean vs a160we in actinic setting
Good day,
I am trying to evaluate the best combination of kessils for my future sps nano an keep going back and fourth over threads to convince myself that I am making the correct choice. One question that is bugging me at the moment is, I read somewhere (but have lost the thread) that the kessil a150 deep ocean blue puts out more par than the a160we in actinic setting and if you turn up the intensity past 70% the whites kick in to increase par. Now I am asking kessil user if this is correct. I have thought about this and maybe there is something in it as surely the a150 d,o,b has all of its leds in the blue range whereas the a160we is 50/50 or whatever ratio it is. If the above statement is correct then instead of three a160,s I would get two 150 d,o,blues and just one a160 and let the colours mix themselves in the tank. this would be like using pure actinic tubes with halides, even though the blue may get drowned out by the white it would still be there giving the corals the blue spectrum they prefer. Thanks in advance. Aquarium dimensions wil be (l,w,h) 36" x 15" x 12h. |
