Is this acropora? If so, is the polyp extension normal?
Hey folks. Few months in and things couldnt be better. Loving the hobby (my fiance is calling it obsession). Ive had this frag for about 2 months now and it always seems happy judging by polyp extension, and I think already growing.
I thought it was an acropora when I bought it, but it seems like there arent any polyps, just long hair like extensions that come out during day and whenever feeding. Are there supposed to be visible polyps, or is this typical? Thanks. PS, the algae is under control - left lights on for two days while out of town  . On a timer now...

Yes, it's obsession

Yes, dipped in coral rx. Not worried about extension, it has plenty. I thought i might see opening though, Khan. I think Cbass nailed it. I had the wrong id in the first place. Thanks again.

I vote for hydnophora as well can easily sting other corals that are close enough
