Starting a 40 gallon breeder tank
Hey guys,
I used to keep freshwater fish about 4 years ago, and also dabbled in saltwater a little. This time around I'm interest in focusing solely on saltwater. I'm starting very slow, and am doing a ton of research this time. I've always loved the fish and all the colors. I'd like to have a pair of clowns and a small clean up crew in the tank. Nothing over the top I don't think. With this list, what equipment and beginning coral should I get? I found this list (http://saltaquarium.about.com/od/cor...5-Easy-Corals/) of beginner corals online. Is this okay to go off, or is there other coral I should know about. Should I dose the tank? Also how many pounds of dry rock should I get? Please let me know if I should consider anything else before I start this tank 40 gallon breeder Aquarium controller - Apex Jr Controller Neptune System $239.95 Fluval Power Filter Reef Octopus Classic 1000 Hang-on-Back Protein Skimmer Rox 2.8 carbon GFO media Lighting - ZT-6600A QMaven Series LED Light - Zetlight $499.00 MaxSpect Gyre XF130 $216.99 Red Sea Reef Mature Pro Kit $27.19 Rock - Pukani or reef saver Sand Thanks so much for your time |
