RODI - Extreme Hardness?
So after a year of going through 10 LBs of DI Resin, 3 membranes, and 20 plus pre filters I finally got a water test done so I could further anazlyze my water chemistry to make an educated decision going foward. A little background on my system. 5 Stage Spectrapure: Dual TDS meter with pressure guage, flush valve, and I installed a booster pump! I am on town water that is drawn from 4 wells!
The water test has come back and these are the results: Test Analysis Max Limit Recommended Hardness 19 GPG 5 GPG Iron 0 PPM .30 PPM PH 7.4 6.7-8.5 Manganese 0 PPM .05 PPM Tannin 0 PPM .5 PPM TDS 345 PPM 500 PPM I assume at this point I need a water softener. That seems to be the best option. I was just wondering other with hard water what have you done to remedy this? I appreciate any and all help! |

Any test for CO2?
But yes... Thats HARD water.. Anything close to 10G can be an issue.. I see a water softener in your future.. ASAP..

Tested for CO2 and it came up normal. I am assuming the softener is a must at this point!

Has anyone here used a Lowe's or Home Depot water softener? I am reading mixed reviews on them. Thanks!

Just about every GE one on the HD site has 4.5 stars..
Not sure where you are seeing the mixed reviews..
