Will this be flow overkill?

I have a 75 gallon that is 48" long. I have a Mp40wqd, x2 MP10wes and a Tunze Nanowavebox. If i run them all, will it be to much? I was thinking The Mp40 on one end, the nano on the other, either pointing from front to back or side to side into the flow of the mp40 and if the Mp10s will stay, both on the back of the tank. Not sure if the thickness is to much for the MP10s or not yet. Anyway, will the Nano box add any benefit?

Where did the MP10's come in? Did you mean MP20?
Seems like an excessive amount of me... Kind of.. but not really..

The goal is to provide sufficient flow for your corals and to eliminate any dead spots..
If thats accomplished then its not overkill..
Thats the magic of controllable pumps.. Just decrease (or increase) power if needed..

I ran my 75 with two mp10's and a rw8 and that was fine. All depend on your tank, rock placement, the fish and corals you have.

I ran 2xmp40 (opposing sides) and 2xmp10 (back wall) on my 75 gallon SPS tank. It was perfect, but no softies or LPS other than well hidden chalices

I plan on running a mix tank. I have a few leathers, some mushrooms, i want a montipora and maybe a few other hard corals. Maybe a bubble tip as well for my clown.

Have you thought about selling the mp10s and wavebox and getting a second mp40? That would be PLENTY of flow on a low setting, and would be silent. My mp10wes pumps were loud.

To put it in perspective, I get pretty decent flow from two mp40s on 100% antisync reefcrest on my 60" 150. All the SPS growing really well. I'm planning on adding more when frags grow to colonies, but it's nice that I was able to carry over pumps from a 75. One less thing to have to upgrade right away if you move to a bigger tank.

That's true! If and when i move i will probably go up to something bigger, but i like the 75 for now. The Mp10wes's have brand new wetsides too. Probably be pretty easy to sale. They run fine and are actually pretty quiet, but a 2nd mp40 would be super nice.
