Sedra 5000 bubbling from back when placed into water

Was cleaning a sedra 5000 skimmer pump with vinegar, and noticed tons of bubbles coming out when placed in the bucket (no power involved). It turns on and runs fine but I am unsure if the air escaping (a lot of bubbles) means it's been compromised and water can now get into where it shouldn't. So I'm hesitant to put it back in the sump.

Has anyone else noticied this with theirs? If it was compromised how can I test for it/ if it turns on do you think it's fine?

Just air escaping Just move the pump around so you do not get a air pocket around the impeller shaft.
