Lumenmax 2 or Hamilton Cayman Sun

The Lumanmax 2 is used, Cayman would be used. Which is the better fixture?

Well if you go by PAR as your main criterion, Cayman Sun has higher PAR ratings vs. Lumen Max. A few years back we tested both with an Apogee meter and that is what we found. Hope that helps.

Lumenmax 2 will probably be a lot cheaper considering they're discontinued and you can't get them new anymore. I see them pop up used occasionally. I used those for a couple years. I've never owned the hamiltons before. The lumenmax 2 were well enough, but the Hamilton reflectors appear to have more of a mirror finish. The lumenmax 2 reflectors were the standard flat and hammertone hybrid reflector design, but it overall had almost a matte/frosted surface. Definitely not that mirror shine the hamiltons have. If you can swing the extra money for a brand new product I'd probably go hamiltons since they're still in production and ready to support their products. I mean look who the first responder of your thread was
