Sorry for my first post my phone battery died. Need help choosing an overflow for a 75 gallon tank with a 20 gallon diy sump. Was looking at the modular marine 800ghp or 1200gph low profile overflow box to be plumbed like a beananimal. Read some complains about a loud noice from the water entering to the external box. My LFS recommended to keep it simple and use an internal overflow box attached with bulkheads, for the .drains use t with a cap and drill a small on top. Also read that if you are using full syphon it is not a good idea to manifold the return pump. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have any noise issues from the water going to the external box. What are the measurements of your bulkhead drains and bulkhead box attachment.

Thanks

I used the overflows available on ebay for my 75 and have been very happy with the setup thus far (running for just over four months).

It is 3/4" schedule 40 (slightly larger ID than 80). Yes, 1200gph model.

I run a refugium so there isnt a ton of flow going through it. The Waveline DC6000 is on the 3rd lowest setting and the main channel is closed up quite a bit to match that.

Madeazl found your build thread , very impressive. Did you manifold the return pump to the reactor. Thanks for your help.

Never mind just read that you didn't use the manifold. I will also run my reactor with a separate pump. Thanks
