Will low light make my fish nervous?

My fish were pretty fearless when I had all my lights on. I broke my leds so now all I have is a single 28w t5 until I get the leds fixed. My fish seem freaked out. Is that normal? Or is something else going on? They hide when I go to feed them until I walk away. Then they eat fine as I watch from a distance.

I'll bet you would be nervous to if the sun was suddenly snatched away! Their environment drastically changed. They need to have time to adjust.

I would suspect they should be fine. Some fish are more active in the dusk/dawn time frame.

How long does it take to adjust? It's been a few days.

As much time as they need... Could be a week or more. There isn't anything you can do other than get your LED's back.

Relax. They are just adjusting to a new reality. After some time like this, they may get a be freaky when you get the light back on the tank as well.
