Moved tank, what filter media to use?
I moved to a bigger tank and have changed things up. All my rock plus some new dry rock has been moved too. The tank is cycles and i have about 5 fish, CUC and a few soft corals. I use to run the BRS GFO/Carbon Reactor but in my sump i have a nice place to put bags of media and not sure i will run my reactors again. With that said, i am looking into what media to run.
I was thinking Purigen, Chemipure Blue, or regular Carbon. On a side note i have about 2L of Seachem Matrix and some De- Nitrate in the sump as well.. Thoughts? |

I'd just start with regular carbon, move to the chemipure when you want to fine tune things

I just use Seachem Matrix Carbon and chaeto with 24W led, that runs 16 hours daily. I think it's cheaper and more convenient than GFO or Biopellet
