woke up this morning to very cloudy water

I have not added any live stock to the tank in months- all fish are accounted for - I did add a new maxspect gyre 150 to the tank yesterday in the morning... check phosphates and are at .04 nitrates not detectable- alkalinity at 10.92 don't have a PH test... what the heck has happened- I am going to do a 40 gallon water chance- reef is a 240 gallon.

Do you have snails in the tank??? They could be breading. Turns the water super cloudy.

Mg is a little low for an Alk n Ca levels of 10.92 and 450.

Might have caused some precipitation especially if it got warm.

Seems most likely, I agree. Any new flow pattern or strength will 'release' all sorts of pockets of crud that you didn't know were there.

Corals or other inverts spawning could be one possible cause.
Though IME snails usually don't make such a mess.
Urchins, anemones and corals on the other hand will make a major mess when spawning.

Long shot, but if you have GFO reactor, you may want to check whether it's spewing GFO/GFO juice. Happened to me recently with a TLF reactor.
