Help! PSYCHO jawfish!
I've had this pair of yellow headed jawfish for about 5 months. I don't have any aggressive fish in there, mandarins, firefish, yellow rose gobies. The jawfish have always shared a burrow and pretty much rule the tank. They are always out and very comfortable in the tank. Recently, one of them moved out to a remote part of the tank. At first I thought it might be mouth brooding since it wasn't coming out to eat, so I was actually excited. It finally came out and started eating yesterday, but then moved again to the other side of the tank, which was odd. So today, it finally came back to its original home (the one it's been in for 5 months) and the other jaw is trying to kill it! Pearly jawfish live in communities so I don't understand what's going on! They've been buddies forever and now it looks like they can't stand each other?!

Afaik male jawfish are territorial. The two you had may just have reached sexual maturity and started fighting. Are they both male?
