one month after the upgrade to an 850gal reef

Well, it's been a month since I upgraded my 500gal reef to an 850 gal reef. I thought I would post a few photos of the progress now that the aquascaping is mostly settled and the corals have adjusted. First, one of my powder blue:

Is that 2 Blue carpet anemones in there? I cant even find one of them and you have 2.

There is about 10 inch of clearance between the back glass and the rock work.

Man, amazing how the tank looks like its been setup for quite a while. You've done a great job. We need to see some full tank shots, and pics of your equipment cabinet. Did you enlarge the window in the wall as well?

I honestly think that is the most realistic reef setup I've ever seen! I can easily imagine donning scuba gear and gliding between the coral heads . You are an artist.

How many hours a week do you spend working with the tank?

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone... A few answers to the questions out there....

Lights...an even mix of 400watt 10K ushios and 20K radiums..6 of each plus 6 vho actinics.

Xenia... It is very easy for SPS tanks to become very static looking. It is for this reason that I try to keep a few things that have some motion to them..xenia, aneomes, and gonioporas are all kept in my system to give some motion to the tank. I do, however, keep the xenia on an easily removable rock that can be taken out and the xenia thinned a bit and then replaced.

Fulltank pic.. I don't have one handy,; maybe I'll shoot one tomorrow. I will say that it is the depth of this tank that makes it so unique and the depth is lost when I have to pull back so far to get everything in. The pics are much more representative of the system when 1/3 -1/2 tank photos are taken.

Dimensions... the viewing panel of the old and new tank is the same... 72 X 30. It is the depth that has increased to 90inches.

Thats amazing, more so when you consider that I was completely awed by your 500 gallon. I'm in the process of setting up a 58 gallon and thats a prety big undertaking for me. Cant imagine going that big!!!
