Sicce 2.0 vs Eheim Compact 2000
Guys!
The Red Sea Reefer 170 is coming this weekend! I've been so indecisive and overwhelmed with the equipment choices so need input on what pump to go with. These two seem to be the most highly rated and recommended but if you have any other suggestions let me know. I value silence and reliability when it comes to return pumps. Thanks in advance. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A1BNS86D4V4GO1 https://www.amazon.com/EHEIM-Compact...m+compact+2000 |

question????
i have both and the eheim compact handles head pressure better. both are good pumps though and you can't go wrong with either. eheim is a bit quieter!

I have both pumps I have not run the Sicce 2.0 as of yet. I have been running the .05 and it moves a lot of water for my reactor. The Eheim Compact 2000 is a robust pump much heavier than the Sicce. I ran that one for about a year.
PS Where did you buy the RD skimmer from? I bought a lid from them but cannot remember the name of the company. |

I haven't had great experiences with Sicce pumps, but Eheim is tried and true. I find the Sicce pumps are falsely advertised as being quiet. They aren't. I have one on my skimmer and it's easily the loudest part of my tank.
