220g move...going from fish only no reef to sand and coral

Any tips appreciated! We are moving all the equipment using a small u haul and totes for water. Also going to add live sand to fish only tank and slowly introduce coral....this won't cause any recycle response would it? Man this is going to be a big task! Thanks for help!

Crazy. I'm doing the same thing next weekend.
Going from a 150 soft corals only loaded with fish and bare bottom,
To a 250 gallon with sand

Why are you moving the water? You can put all new water in when you get there and it won't affect the cycle.

Quicker and cheaper to move than make new RO water and mix salt for 220 gal. I'm sure.

I'm also hoping less stress on the fish using same water...and yes cheaper.

The fish would love fresh clean water, but I understand trying to save a bunch of money as well.

I moved a 240 across a few states.
I also move 50 gal of water to help the cycle. just make sure you use food grade storage tanks.
