Power head advice. Maybe the 3K Gyre Generation Pump - IceCap

Anyone using this gyre by IceCap yet? Just too soon yet?

I'm in the market for new powerheads and I'll take any advice anyone has. I have 120 gal. mixed reef medium stocked right now.

I've been thinking about a gyre but just don't know. I would like the set up to be apex compatible if at all possible while trying to stay under $300.

I bit the bullet and bought one today. After its up and running I will report back with how it works.
