Icecap 36XL Reef Sump/Refugium
Has anyone used this product? Icecap 36XL Reef Sump/Refugium - 36x23.5x16"
https://premiumaquatics.com/products...36x235x16.html For the price and function I have never seen a better sump for modern reefer. It has a 12 Gallon ATO reservoir and large space for everything else. Seems to a be a new sump and with the DD probably not good fit for majority of set-ups |

Adam87 Thats great, I have it sitting in my cart at Premium aquatics. I think its a no-brainer i've never seen a sump thats so practical -ever! Plus I can use it when I upgrade Does the refugium get fed from the drain pipe or passively from the skimmer only? |

Thats a great looking setup. I better make the purchase b4 Icecap increases the prices.
BTW- who made you T-slot stand? I am in the market for one and got a quote for $500. Kind of higher than I was expecting for a 42" long stand. |

Hey - Wow are you sure its not steel? I am assuming you had to spend more money to finish the stand? The stand I got a quote for is exactly as base of tank - 42"LX26"W and height I wanted is 38"H. Actually is $489 not including shipping. |

The thing I don't like on the sump is they come with 2 X 1' drains. My Ghost overflow has 3 X 1.5" drains (1 emergency). I Plan on using at Vectra M1 pump and figured may as well have burst of power to stir up the tank now and then.. Since the vectra and sump are white and blue, I figured I should buy some blue PVC and white fittings and make it look good - I was sold on that. until I saw how much it would cost to run the 3 X1.5 PVC. Return line will not need much
However, I am considering using a PVC flex pipe and connecting it with Unions to the overflow - which will be hard plumbed about 10". I've not seen many people use these blue flexpipe but I am strongly considering 3 of these for my drain and just using a reducer to take it to the sump. Does anyone have flexible drain on their sumps? |

I am thinking about the 48XL for my 375 gallons reef, beside the overflow from my DT 3x 2" and this sump only have 2x 1". Do you guys think it would work for my set up. Right now what I have is 75 Gallons stock aquarium with external Reeflo Dart return pump

They use regular PVC fittings so you can just buy larger size fittings without issue

It's just acrylic, no reason why you couldn't.
