Aiptasia / Hitchiker? - New Zoas
Today I took a trip to my LFS and picked up two frags: One pulsing Xenia and one small colony of Zoas. I dipped them in coralRX for 10 minutes in accordance with the instructions on the bottle. I am now waiting for them to open up.
However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that there was something sticking out of the base of the frag plug. I thought that it may be aiptasia. It was not out when I purchased it at the LFS. Does anyone know what it is by chance? If it is aiptasia, I would want to try to combat it while it is still small and not a big problem. Thanks. |

Yeah that's aiptasia, nuke it while it's small.

Yes it is an aiptasia. When ever I buy a new coral, I alway remove it from the plug it is on. You find things that product like CoralRX doesn't reach.

Yes remove it from the plug and remount on something new or a rock in your tank when you are ready...I consider frag plus to be like grocery bags..only there to hold the frag till you get it home
