How to turn on protein skimming on Supreme Skilter 250?
I hope someone here has experience with Supreme Skilters.
I have a Supreme Skilter 250. It's a filter/protein skimmer combo but I can't figure out how to make the protein skimmer work. I know how to turn it on, but I need help with calibration. You're supposed to be able to fiddle around with the air hose until there's just enough air in there to make the skimming work. But whenever I get any bubbles in the skimmer at all, they always escape into the aquarium. If I turn it down slightly so that no bubbles escape, that's only because there's no bubbles at all. I'm stumped. Anyone have any ideas? |

If its on a new tank, it will let bubbles escape into the tank for a week or two, until it breaks in.

Well, the tank has been in place in for about 3 months. The protein skimmer hasn't been on all that time though. Do I need to leave the skimmer on for two weeks?
