Manifold and Waveline Pump
I am looking at putting a manifold on my return that will run to a BRS GFO/carbon reactor and a UV filter for now. The return pump is a D.C. 6000 Waveline that can do about 1500 GPH. Display is a 150 g and there are two returns with separate pumps - one being the DC.
1) does anyone use a monifold on this pump and/or does it seem like this pump can deal with the head pressure? 2) with these manifolds, do you generally chemically weld the piping into the return output adapter that sits below the water line? 3) is it common to run the manifold off a T connector with a ball valve between the T and the actual return (bulkhead) to regulate the water flow through the manifold? Dc pumps are generally not good with head pressure.
Manifolds generally have a valve to control each individual pipe. Welding is better.
