Too good to be true?
Was browsing for sand. Came across the sand they use on the show "tanked" it's natures ocean. The bag says on the side "no wait. Add fish instantly. Instant cycling." Now is that even possible? Have they figured something out no one knows about? Help!

It makes for great marketing. It, like any other "live" sand in a bag, will have a minimal amount of bacteria in it. You will still need to cycle, perhaps not quite as long, but cycle you will.

I used the same sand. The cycle was way faster but you still had to wait about a week and pram where leveled out. But add fish slowly cause it cause a brown out basically a re cycle.

Yeah I've used it before and the cycle is quicker but there's still a cycle. If only the instant reef tank was a real thing!

I get live sand and live rock direct from the ocean via tampa bay saltwater. it's shipped in water. I still go thru a cycle.

I told the wife Don't believe everything you see on that show, They edit out the time it takes to settle the cloud that gets poured in with the sand lol.
