Anyone using those roof domes for lighting a reef?

Been out a while and getting back in again. Was wondering if anyone was successful with the skyligh tubes

There was a tank here that was lighted using skylight.

Anyone using those roof domes for lighting a reef?

There is something on here about the par dropping and the spectrum changing after about a year IIRC. (Only referring to solar tubes not skylight)

I know 2 big tanks lighted that way. Both have added almost as much light as I use without the skylights. One guy uses less and he keeps algae and soft corals OK. The other has more leds and he can keep most anything, but then he has a lot of extra light. The skylights/solatubes just aren't enough even down this far south (SW Florida).

This one is a good one, I think the only light he added was actinic to give the corals a bit. Ore color
