Could high alk be the cause of burnt tips on my acro frags?
I am seeing burnt tips on some of my acro frags, my alk is usually around 7.8 but I had it spike to 8.4 because my drip rate needle valve on my calrx had an issue.
Nitrates are 5 and phosphates are 0.02 I thought burnt tips only happen with low nutrient tanks? Is there a chance this frag can recover and regrow over the tips? |

A change from 7.8 to 8.4 shouldn't do anything

I meant the higher number...I read alot of people experience alk burn when alk gets too low? What is considered "low nutrient"? I am going nuts trying to figure out why my tips are burning like this.

No. High alk is only an issue for those with ultra low nutrients and you are nowhere near ULN. ULN is below .001P and .01N - usually vodka, sugar or vinegar is needed to get this low.
You should probably look somewhere else for your issues. |
