Alk dosing through doser
Hello,
Right I know i need to dose 2.4g of Seachem Reef Builder which =0.5dkh based of my tank water volume if I want to make a batch up say a couple of litres how many grams of product do i put in to make the correct solution. I know i need to dose the 2.4g over 24hrs so I also need to know how many ml per hour I need to dose to achieve my 0.5 DKH dosage. Thanks Ian |

Per their instructions at least 250mL of water for 3g of powder..
So thats close enough to yours.. So if you have a 1000mL dosing container than put in 1000mL of water and 9.6g of powder.. Then dose 250mL daily of the solution to raise alk .5dKH

It's kind of up to you how concentrated you make the solution. Mcgyvr's math is right though.
If you wanted to make a 2L batch of mcgyvr's, just double his recipe. 19.2g reef builder. QS to 2L. This would last you a week at 250mL per day / or a little more than 10mL per hour.
