Top off pump and dosing

I wondering if it would make sense to use a multi-head peristaltic pump for dosing and water top off. I could try to adjust the water usage on one head with a float valve set higher than necessary in the sump. It would only cut power if the water exceeded my normal evaporation. The other heads could be set to deliver whatever at prescribed amounts. Does this make any sense?

This can be done with a Litre Meter system from Spectrapure.
Great company & pump but not cheap, but it is repairable if needed.
I use mine for top off & can change total flow with pushing buttons.

I want to use a multi-head system to top off and dose. It is possible but I wondered if anyone has attempted it. I think it would require being able to calculate the evaporation rate pretty closely.
