Aqua UV Bulbs

Hello all. Has anyone had experience with these bulbs? Are they on par with the AquaUV brand replacements? Thanks for any insight.

Haven't bought this particular one, but we usually buy 25 and 54 watt bulbs on Amazon or from online lightbulb places. Just search the number on the bulb and pick the option you like best.

I highly doubt they are anywhere near the quality of the AquaUV ones. My experience with cheap UV sterilzers is that the bulbs only last 6 months. AquaUV manufacturers their own bulbs are they rated to have 90% of their efficiency after one year and have found my ORP remains consistent up until then and actually beyond that. I replace mine every year as a result. I recently let them go too long and they failed at 1.5 years. I noticed it when my ORP tanked. After replacing the bulbs, my ORP went back to it's normal 400 levels. If you invested in a quality quality filter like the AquaUV, don't cut corners on a the bulb which is obviously the most critical part of the unit.

YUP. My thoughts. Just wanted to check if they had their bulbs manufactured in this Chinese place. Then it would be like buying the same thing.
