Best choice for auto top off

Ive been looking into ATOs lately and have decided to get one. However there are so many to choose from. My tank is an AIO, so i cant necessarily clip a float switch somewhere seeing as how the water level for the return is a lot lower than the nearest place for me to clip on the switch. So the magnet versions are gonna be my option here. Do you guys have any recommendations for good and reliable ATOs?

Thanks in advance for the help! Cheers

hi this one worked well fom me for the past 7 years;Tunze osmolator universal 3155 - auto top off.if the pump burn you can order one separately,i dont know if you supply kh but if you do dont install it to close to the probe of the ato,the spill of the kh will mess with the reading, space of 10cm should be ok.

+1 for Tunze Osmolator, used for approx. 5 years on previous tank-not a single issue. One of the first additions for my current tank. The latest Osmolators have an adjustable flow rate, which is a great feature, as it can be dialed in for adding kalk top off etc.

Running a Tunze also. Only issue was the pump quit after 5-6 years.Good idea to keep a spare pump on hand if your LFS doesn't keep them in stock.

I'm using the autotopoff.com nano system on both of my AIO tanks. No problem attaching the bracket to the back of the tank.

I've used a JBJ ATO with an aqualifter for about 5 years now and have had no trouble with it.

if you go with tunze, definitely the 3155. It's got a backup sensor and the main sensor is electronic and not a float switch.

Great choice. That is one of the few pieces of equipment that I never really worry about. Just works.
