silicone for sump
Is GE 1 windows and doors still safe for using in a sump? my sump tank cracked yesterday and I may try to reuse the pieces inside it. Just wondering if I decide to go this route, if that silicone will be safe.
Thanks |

Yes, provided you give it plenty of time to cure. This takes a week or more.

ALL 100% silicones are safe "once fully cured"..
GE Type 1 (vingear cure) is a faster curing version compared to type 2 (ammonia cure) As stated that curing could take a week or more depending on bead thickness.. A small bead can cure in as little as 24 hours.. A thicker one could take MUCH longer..
