What is the best protein Skimmer for a IM 30L? Also best Filter?

Hello, i am new to this hobby and have had my IM30L for about a month. The stock filters are OK but would like to know if their are any better ones out there.
Also second question, what type of protein skimmer would i get for this type of tank?

I can't say what the best would be but I'm interested. I have the ghost skimmer on my 50 Lagoon. I have tried everything to stop the micro bubbles with no luck. I wouldn't recommend it unless someone has a fix.

Are you using the stock filters on it or did you get the media basket filter?

Both one sock one media basket with rock and a sponge. Occasionally run carbon in it.

I had pretty good luck with just the two socks. Not sure the median basket changed anything just gave me a place to put carbon when I wanted it.

Yea. My LFS said that most likely that will happen when you first get it. At least until a few weeks of having it it should be coated with a thinker slime to keep it from coming off.

Been running for 4 months still has bubbles. Looked it up online everyone complains. Let me know how that one works. I'm curious.

I watched that and did it but it seemed to clog the flow. The lack of flow caused the chamber to over flow. I need to try a different sponge I think.

I was thinking of giving it a vinegar bath. I'll do that tonight. I assume after the bath it is like starting all over again?

Checked on my new skimmer this morning and all seems to be good! Has a nice layer of green water in the bottom of the canister. Lid stayed on all night surprisingly now i just have to worry about foam getting stuck in the top tube.

Did you choose a skimmer? If yes, which one?

The Eshops protein skimmer is working extremely well, although it was a tight fit in the back of The tank all i had to do was take off the rubber studs.
