Who else feels like reefcentral out dated with posting?

I love reef central and feels like so much information here. However i find it difficult to create posts with pictures. I have to go through loop holes with a third party to get an immage attached. Wish reef central can be more user friendly like reef 2 reef and can just attached pix strait from your pc or mobile.
Wow and i just found out the reef 2 reef get censored out if i put them togeter.

I use google photos. Add to a shared album. Then get url to copy and paste in. Until Google decides to break it one day.

Imgur is very easy and quick to use. I hated when photobucket quit hosting pics for 3rd party use but it was a blessing in the end because Photobucket had gotten as slow as Christmas and Imgur is fast and easy.

I've been using web forums for about 20 years, and I find RC to be reasonably well featured. I can pop an image on imgur or the like in seconds without losing the vast depth of knowledge contained in the many excellent and very knowledgeable reef central posters.

I haven't been an admin of a popular web forum since the early 2000s, but I think adding hosted user images is probably well within the capabilities of the administrators, but bandwith costs money of course, and in that case, I'd rather take the quality of responses here over somewhere else that has picture hosting (which may, or may not have such quality posters, but probably doesn't have the near 20 year track record).

You can post pictures right from your PC or mobile..
(I don't use tapatalk but understand thats how most access this via mobile devices and have heard its pretty easy to post pics)..

As for PC.. I just hit the "Go advanced" button in the quick reply section then the ability to attach from your computer is possible there.. Its easy..
Its down in the "additional options" section in the "Attach files" subsection..
Click manage attachments then find the file on your computer and click upload..
Its then hosted here and never lost should photobucket,etc... start charging,etc...

Yes, this forum software is outdated.
But yes it works fine and yes you can upload photos directly to it as mcgyvr explained above.

I was a PB user, but have made the switch to Imgur like many others. I like that you can resize pictures there easily so that they don't show up bigger than most monitors!
