Purchase Options For Mandarin Breeding
Hey all,
I've been trying to figure out how to setup my tanks. I'm purchasing 40G Breeders x2 and dividing in a 30/10 using acrylic divider. I have a Trigger Systems Ruby 30 to setup a nice religion in for pods and brine (setting up additional 30 Cube for copepods etc. to help assure tethered enough to feed). I'm trying to decide on a wave maker and lights. There will not be any other fish in these tanks. Also would a skimmer be suggested as well as a Neptune Apex or Digital Aquatics controller? If so what would be some recommendations? Thanks in advance. |

are you looking to raise the larvae in this system too or is this just for your broodstock? I'd be worried that a wave maker would throw larvae around and damage them.
I've done some work raising pelagic larvae, and we just kept them under Home Depot strip lighting, nothing fancy there. |

Larvae can be delicate. I have seen larvae tanks with just an open airline bubbling SLOWLY. What you will need if successful is grow out tanks. Dim lighting is all you need.
You will have to keep the tanks clean so no skimmer.
