Anyone using the Giesemann Aurora T5-LED Hybrid Light?

I'm looking into getting this light but with the cost of it I really would like to know if anyone else is using one. Not much can be found on searches so I'm thinking there are not that many people using one... probably due to the cost. I think the 48" would do good but I'm looking into the 60" as well. Let me know. Thanks!!!

This will be for a 60"x24"x24" 150g tank.

Thanks Paal. I've read that one before and there's another one on another forum that I've read too. I did find a couple of videos but that's about it. The most recent video is from June 2017 by CoralVue and it's actually a good video of the light. I think the price tag is scaring people away from it. They would probably sell more if they had better publicity and customer feedback.

I used a 36" fixture. I have the PAR levels listed on my youtube page. I took it offline and switched to a 6-bulb ATI T5 fixture. I get much higher PAR. The LEDs are diffuse, so you get good spread without spotlights of individual colors showing up. the PAR is also spread evenly without hotspots. The controllability isn't my favorite. It would have been nice to have profiles like the Radions or Hydras. The light is controlled via Bluetooth. It was slightly annoying trying to move the light intensity on a tablet. It's much easier to control via computer, using a mouse. The fixture is well built.

I own the 36in version and absolutely love it. I run the light close to max output and 10in from water to keep sps happy.

calistyle; you used to own a PacSun T5/led hybrid right? How would you compare the two lamps?

Wow, you switched to a 6-bulb T5 fixture over this fixture... now that is saying something. I currently have an older 6-bulb T5 fixture and was looking to replace it. It does a great job but with the age of it, it is becoming a maintenance issue. Something to think more on now.
