Tunze 6150 deflector usage
Has anyone compared the 6150 with and without the deflector? I'm wondering if the deflector reduces the output or changes the flow characteristics, other than the obvious change in direction.
Thanks!

I just got one today and put it in the tank tonight. I haven't played around with it much. Tested it in the bathtub before going in the DT. Its BIG but its awesome. I have a single one, using the deflector oriented up and down, and the flow in my 300g deep dimension is fantastic.

I don't use the deflector. I found the flow was not wide enough with it. I have the 6150 mounted in the back corner of the tank mounted completely horizontal.
