Best Sumps for fuge use?
I am currently in the market for a new sump for my 110 gallon reef. I plan on setting up a refugium so I will need a designated part of the sump. I was curious what has and has not worked for all of you filter socks, bio-media, etc. Any input is appreciated, happy reefing. Thanks.

Best imo is to either build one yourself or have one custom made to your specs. That ways you get exactly what you want and need. Do as big of a sump as you can for the space you have, so e of uee need to fit themunder a stand and are limited others have hole rooms for filter systems I like building them myself out of glass aquariums. For a 110g I would do a 55-75g tank using baffles 2/3rds heigh from the top. First chamber drain from display with filter sock rack then a baffle, second chamber for fuge either lit with macros or unlit with rock rubble, 3rd chamber for equipment like reactors, skimmer, probes ect, then a small return chamber. I recommend 2-3 baffles between the drain and return chambers to eliminate any micro bubbles as they go through the sump and not into the display.
