Why does my yellow tang look like this?

Just noticed under my blues my tang looks bad. Is this velvet? It's acting fine

Did the lights just come on? My YT (12yrs old by the way) turns a pale white when the lights are out. He "yellows up" about 30min after the lights are on.

Looks like a Foxface when they decide its time to hide, so i assume its camouflage.

Hard to tell with your blues on, he looks like he has spots. Maybe turn on your whites and send more pics

Otherwise if its just white color after lights turning on, thats normal

NEVER do any identification under such blue light.. Colors/skin tones,etc.. are NOT rendered properly and nothing looks "correct"..
Everything looks "weird" under blue light

Also make sure u feed ur tang enough greens. I️ know most tangs will eat just about anything u drop in the tank but they need to have enough greens to stay healthy.

He doesn't like nori. Picks at the rocks and eats brine shrimp or mysis but the snail eats most the nori
