Problem with RO unit
After changing the membrane on my RO unit, the unit fails to turn off completely, i.e. the gauge registers around 5-10 psi and water continues to exit the unit. Tried reseating the membrane with no luck.
In order to have the unit shut down completely I have to disconnect the line feeding the membrane housing in order for the water stop. |

Unless you have the in/out inline pressure shut off valve, in that case the valve is sticking for who knows what reason. They are easy enough to pull apart and clean /check/inspect |

Sounds like a faulty ASOV if you have one.

Just so its clear.. Do you mean that when you close the valve on the good water output line that the water continues to flow out the waste water line?

I disconnected the line coming from the solenoid to the RO unit, unplugged the solenoid and there was no water coming from the solenoid but there was water coming from RO unit as if there is some type of back pressure building up in the unit.
