restarting/nuking tank with freshwater inquiry

i have a serious aiptasia and green hair algae issue and want to nuke and restart my 75g tank. i plan to move my fish and some surviving coral to a temporary tank. i don't want to use any chemicals to nuke the tank.

what do you guys think of this plan?
1. drain tank and sump
2. remove rocks, scrub, and allow to dry for a week
3. fill tank with freshwater and run for a week
4. drain tank
5. refill tank with fresh saltwater and cycle from scratch

will this kill all my aiptasia and green hair algae?

any feedback or tips is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

You might still introduce them back trough the coral frags.

Plus. you would need to change how you are managing nutrients. Otherwise it will be a temporary solution. Hair algae will eventually recolonize the rock as long as it has nitrate and phosphate.
