Buy Red Sea tank only?

Anyone know if you can buy just a Red Sea tank - not the entire setup?

I like the tanks but want to use a different stand and want a sump that I can eventually use as a refugium. None of the Red Sea systems that fit my price point or size are cable of a sump large enough to do this.

I also want to use the Innovative Marine Nuvo stand. I like the look and prefer aluminium to wood for use in the stand.

So I guess I'm borderline DIY now, eh?

Or perhaps another question to ask is are there any vendors who make tanks similar to Red Sea where you can buy just the tank? I've looked at the sites I've found so far and most of the tanks offered are either rear sump design or not set up for use with a sump.

Not sure if you can buy just a Red Sea tank only.

SCA Aquariums are top notch and with a simple call to steve, they can custom make you pretty much anything you want. There is a thread down in the lighting and filtration section devoted to SCA tanks. If your interested they have an FB group, and have a read through the thread.

I doubt anyone would sell it that way. Without the tank rest of the equipment would be impossible to sell afterwards.

You can look into Cadlights tanks, they have the same design as Red Sea, love my Versa 42 I have on a custom Steel Stand thats skinned.

They actually do, I had to replace a Red Sea reefer sump and looked everywhere till I found a spot. You can get anything as well as the setup at www.fishtanksdirect.com

Yes, there are lots of makers/resellers that will sell you the tank-only. Innovative Marine is one such maker. You could certainly call Bulk Reef Supply and ask them about the Red Sea tank-only option. They sell a lot of RS tanks, and are very likely to have answered this question for a prospective customer at least once.
