I used an AquaMaxx HOB-1 skimmer on my 44 gallon tank for 5 years and thought it did a good job. If I were going to do another HOB, I'd either do the HOB-1 or the HOB-1.5 (supposed to be more powerful, but I haven't used this one).

Classic 100-HOB Hang On the Back Protein Skimmer (90 Gal) - Reef Octopus (USED OPEN BOX CUSTOMER RETURN)
This is rated for a slightly bigger tank, but would work just fine & it's a great deal...I love Reef Octopus brand myself. https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/cl...SABEgKkJvD_BwE |
