anyone ever use

Coconut oil, or anything similar, on the INSIDE of the tank? I'm asking as I am interested on seeing if anything can help me keep my glass (acrylic) clean for longer. Obviously the inside of the acrylic tank isn't rough, but it attracts hard deposits like is was rough. I was thinking that a more slick surface would prevent that from happening altogether. I am not sure if it would cloud the glass at all, or if it would have an adverse effect on the fish, but I figured i'd ask. Who knows.... with all of the people who are in this hobby, perhaps someone has tried something crazy like this.

I think it would come off and float on the top since it's oil.
