Is this torch nice?

I am thinking about ordering this torch and I am wondering what people think about it and if it has a name of some sort, since the dealer doesn't give it a real name. It costs a pretty penny for a small 3 head frag so I want to know peoples opinions. Thanks

They call it an ultra black torch.... doesn't tell me much. For 180$ for a 2x2 inch frag it better be good...

What matters is what you think of it. None of us have to look at it on a daily basis. If you feel it's $180 nice buy it. If I had the extra cash I wouldn't think twice to spend $200+ on an Aussie gold torch.

This

Also keep in mind torch's send out long sweepers and have a stronger sting than hammer or frogspawn, and need more buffer space from corals.

I don't mind when corals are photographed under some blue light. I think most people's tanks have some blue to them and if I had to run my tank with white's only, well I probably wouldn't have a tank for very long lol. It's when corals are photographed under crazy intense blue lighting, where the person's hand that's holding the frag up, is literally glowing in the dark that I think is a little excessive. But in my opinion the seller is just showing a good example of the color to expect under some nice reef lighting.

Regarding the op. Sure the torch is nice, but only you can decide if its $180 nice.

Most corals look great under the blue, it looks great, but what does it look like under normal blue white mix? If it looks great under blue/white mix, it will look outstanding under the blues for many corals. I now only judge corals under the blue/white mix in relation to colours.
