VarioS-8 adapter doesn't fit
Hi all,
Got in my VarioS-8DC pump. Was checking it out to make sure everything was in order. I looked at all the attachment for the water outlet and they all looked rather large. Even the smallest is 1". My Waterbox has a return tubing of only 3/4". Anyone run into this problem before? I've been to Lowe's and Walmart with no luck. Any recommendations? |

Vinyl (flex) tubing or hard pipe?
Adapters are typically readily available at Lowes/Home Depot.. If vinyl you'd want something like a 1" to 3/4" barb fitting.. If hard pipe reducing bushings or many other ways to skin that cat..

Was having a hard time finding what I needed at the Lowe's. Have very few options where I am. Interestingly, I found this on a Pool/spa website where it's a 1.25" to 3/4" barbed. The VarioS-8 does have an attachment for 1.25" fitting. I found the piece on Amazon and got some Oatey primer and cement. Will see if this works.
Thanks for the advice. Will pursue your suggestions if this method fails. |

When it comes to pvc pipe, fittings, and water tube fittings (John guest type) and the big box stores, I have had way more luck finding what I needed at Home Depot rather than Lowe’s.
Better selection and variety, at least where I live. |

The spa plumbing parts came and everything fit together nicely. Where I am, there's only a Lowes and....well, a Lowes. My idea of shopping where I am is sitting in front of the screen and clicking the purchase button. Small towns are not known for variety.
